Allegations against Banks' wife, Jacqueline Banks, are being investigated by the Pullman Police Department
Hopefully there will be a follow-up story on her. If true, apparently she condoned it.
Prosecutors also agreed not to charge Banks with any other crimes it might be aware of in connection with this case. The victim told investigators she thought Banks may have had contact with other girls.
Hmm...
The girl's family has said they allowed her to spend time at the Banks home because the deputy seemed respectable and trustworthy.
It's sad, but there are people who exploit others' trust and appear to be upstanding citizens.
Laverne asked that Banks be relocated, saying his incarceration in Whitman County has been difficult for his former co-workers. Banks is being kept in isolation because of his work history at the jail
The judge said he'd leave that decision to the sheriff.
Sounds like poetic justice.
