Are these 45 different victims or 45 charges with the same person and is it the person he was already convicted for? An interesting question for everyone. These are old crimes. Lets say he went thru treatment for the conviction he had and had reentered society. What type of sentence should he get for old crimes if he has rehabed? One would think the treatment programs could be structured in a manner so that the SO could disclose his past transgressions without fear of prosecution. This would at least grant a sense of closure to the victim. Maybe. It's possible the victim doesn't want the molestation to be known and thus disclosure would harm them. But it would be for their own good. If treatment was so-structured, and it was later learned that there were offenses the SO didn't disclose, throw the book at him. I wonder the same things you do. How many victims? Why didn't they come forward before, or why didn't investigators come up with them while investigating the other charges? And if these charges involve "further disclosures and allegations" from the victim he was already accused of and convicted of molesting, something is VERY wrong. His attorney better demand they put the girl under with sodium pentothal and ask her again.
