A Prentiss County judge has handed down two life sentences to a repeat sex offender from Marietta.
The article says he was sentenced for two charges related to sex offense involving a 14-year-old girl. He even plead guilty to the charges. He had a previous conviction for sexual battery and was a registered sex offender. The article doesn't elaborate on the offenses, but two life sentences is extremely severe compared to typical sentences today. Is this a case of Mississippi getting tough on repeat sex offenders?
