Looks like these people are blaming the wrong folks. The court said
unless they are reclassified under the requirements of the court’s ruling.


“It’s my understanding that he has to be reclassified, and until then, law enforcement officials are prohibited from making public disclosure,”

So why didn't anybody reclassify him?

“This injunction defeats the purpose of Megan’s Law,”

No it doesn't. It merely requires that SO's classified pre-Megan's Law be reclassified post-Megan's Law.

This isn't rocket science. The Court issues an injunction in 1998, the guy gets out on parole in 1999 and released from parole 2 years later in 2001. The injunction was clear that if DOC wanted him classified at something higher than Level 1 they would have to re-classify him. And DOC did what during the time this man was on parole? Nothing.

And now DOC says it's the Court's fault? Get real. DOC dropped the ball and is looking for a scapegoat.
