For those of you on the forum who are fond of claiming that SO's with adult victims don't get prohibitions against contact with minors, this is one for you.
According to Mr. Hittle's registry entry, he's on parole for raping an adult acquaintance.
These are his restrictions as posted:
# He is prohibited from having contact with any persons under the age of 18 years.
# He is not to frequent areas where minors are likely to congregate (e.g. playgrounds, school grounds, arcades).
# He is prohibited from using alcohol and illegal drugs.
The alcohol and drugs are the only one that makes the least bit of sense, but only if either was a factor in his offense. This is plain stupid.

Its the common scorched earth policy of probation Orolan. Overkill is the #1 priority. Say someone is into bestiality and has a thing for poodles. They'll have a restriction against being around kids.
Its a joke. Tailor the sentences a little better please?

And why would either of you want a rapist or a poodle molester having contact with children? Just curious.

Did I say he should have a condition requiring him to be a volunteer with the local Brownie Troop? No.
It's just strange that while there is zero indication that he is a danger to children, he is prohibited from contact with them. The one thing we DO know is that he raped an adult woman. But he can associate with them all he wants. Stupid.

If the guy can prove he's not a threat to children then he should approach the Court and request modification. No big deal. He'll get over it.

Why should he? He shouldn't have to pay a lawyer to run back to court and contest every unjustified condition the state decides to put on him. Make the state justify the condition before they apply it.

Why should he?
Because he's a sex offender.
Make the state justify the condition before they apply it.
Isn't the conviction enough?
