Gender: Male, Age Bracket: 30 - 39, State: Virginia, Country: United States

A man was charged Wednesday in the shooting death of an uncle who he claims sexually abused him as a boy....Raymond DeBack was released from prison about 10 months ago and moved into the trailer next to the one where his nephew and his brother lived.

This puts to bed the speculation by some here in another thread that Raymond F. DeBack may have been killed by someone who found out about his conviction for a sex crime from information found on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.

The nephew told investigators his uncle sexually abused him when he was about 6 or 7 years old, and he had been angry for years at the older man, according to the complaint.

The uncle's conviction was *not* for sexually abusing his nephew. Authorities can't refute or substantiate the nephew's claim of sexual abuse.

He told authorities he was not sorry for his act but wished he had planned it better, according to the complaint.

Probably not the right thing to say if he wants an acquittal or leniency in sentencing.

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
