You will have to get weaving calling the attention of the public to the excesses and mistakes of "Megan's" law,and the other sex offender laws.
You'll have to write,write,write,write,to politicains and the medai,just posting here won't have any effect.
You'll have to support the campiagin groups set up by parents who've seen their Children posted and pilloried and their families lives ruined and endangered for consensual underage Romeo and Juliet affairs,and consensual underage touching games at parties.
Some of these campaign groups are "SoHopeful","save our TEXSONS","sosen","citizens for second chances".
These groups concern themselves with Romeo and Juliet issues,it's time that some of those posted and pilloried for victimless offences also spoke out,the public deoasn't realie that such victimless "SEX OFFENDERS!!!",even exist,but they do
(just search for the Women offenders on the Louisiana registry site,you'll find a legion of poor Women posted and pilloried there,the address where they live with their Children so published, for "CRIME AGAINST NATURE",this heinous sounding offence in fact consists of oral sex between consenting adults).
Perhaps those(see thread "snow phallus sex offence"you can find it by following my post history) who were charged with a "SEXUAL OFFENCE",and stand to be posted and pilloried on the registry for it in some states,for making a snow phallus in their yard,should be got to speak out,the public will be surprised.
One day the tide will turn and the current witchunt will be regarded as salem and mc carthyism.
But things sometimes have to get worse before they get better.
Perhaps what will be the catalyst is when(we've discussed when this will be)the number of supposed registrees grows beyond a million,and is still growing,and the sex offenders registers (this is happenning now already)like the Mammoth and the Brontosaurus break down under their own sheer irrational size.
But for this to work you have to get writing and campaigning and informing the public(who politicians ans the campaigners for "Megan's"law misinform and exploit) now.

Indiana SB0012 along with 2 other bills would have ushered in Indiana's version of the JL act and would have done much to drastically alter the lives of sex offenders all accross the state.
After not being able to stop the bills' travel through the senate and house on its way to becoming law, a last ditch effort had to be made to stop these bills from being voted into law.  Knowing that 2 other pieces of legislation were more near and dear to the governer and legislators, we made efforts to tie up passage of those bills and force further debate and amendents to both SB0012 and to the 2 other bills.  On the last day of sesion, time ran out on SB0012 and the other sex offender bills as the last day was dedicated to the governor's "major moves" bill and consolidation issues keeping the bills we opposed from getting that last required vote and effectively killing them for the year.  VICTORY!!!
Just goes to show that perserverance pays off even when I thought all hope to stop these bills had passed.  
Just a reminder to all those who are out there fighting to stop the tyranny of  more draconian sex offender laws, there is hope.
Get involved and make a difference where you live if you want to stop the maddness.  The pendulum is starting to swing in the direction of justice and civil rights for all but we cant give up yet.
So KEEP FIGHTING for the constitution!!
