DOZENS of men accused of downloading child pornography from the internet may have been wrongly prosecuted, according to expert prosecution and defence witnesses.
New evidence suggests that Operation Ore, Britain’s biggest child pornography investigation, may have prosecuted innocent men on the basis of discredited American police testimony and questionable forensic methods.

Children have also been registered for accessing Child pornography in this country(in America?).In one case the judge told him "you have only shown ntural curiosity for your age",but still had to register him.
I'll try to find out more about these wrongful convictions,the media here which had a field day with the original investigation is unsurprisingly reluctant to publicise this fact.
There was a similar investigation in France with many suicides,but I don't know if this was to do with wrongful accusations(presumably it was).
It's odd that the verdict of a court ,or appeal court as to what is/is not Child pornography can put thousands of poeple who have downloaded in or out of being "PAEDOPHILES".
Since the age of consent varies between juristdictions,it is possible within the United States to abuse a seventeen year old "Child" or have legal sex with a sixteen year old "adult" for precisely the same act.
This is further more complicated by the fact that some states have a "Romeo and Juliet"law looking at the age difference,some don't(in some states two fifteen year olds having a consensual Romeo and Juliet affir are both posted and pilloried on the registry as having "RAPED" each other,two poor seven year old boys in Kentucky,playing with each other ,were both insanely charged,and stand to be branded and pilloried for life,with "FIRST DEGREE SODOMY!!!")some states,alone in western society have legal Child "marriage" enabling an old roue or paedophile to buy himself a Child bride.Some American married couples can't legally have sex in another state,or in a foriegn country(consent age for Americans abroad is eighteen).
What someone is posted and pilloried for,the address where they live with their Children so published,in one state,is legal across the road in another state(*1NOTE).
Does this also relate to Child pornography,does something become or cease to be Child pornography ,as it crosses state lines?.

Two girls who with common juvenile exhibitionism posted nude pictures of themselves on their website,were Charged with "MAKING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY/ ABUSING A CHILD!!!!,(*2NOTE)their boyfriends who they sent the pictures to were charged with "POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY!!!1".
What if this was your Daughter?,your Son?
(*1NOTE)Of course this is no justification,people must keep the law where they are.But consequences are obscenely excessive.
(*2NOTE) Actually they did so abuse themselves and it had to be stopped,but again to see young lives ruined like this is obscene.
