I find it strange that a poster would question the lack of victims posting in THIS forum, but ask that question safely ensconced 'behind the wall' in the V&SC forum. Is the problem here? Or there?
I can quote from that thread and respond here since I can't post there. But I'm not going to bother. Such an act would only result in further slamming by the non-offenders.
The fact is we DO have victims here posting. Thing is, they also happen to be supportive of RSO's or are themselves also offenders. And the non-offending side of these forums just can't handle the concept. June is a classic example.

You impulsive, compulsive Orolan....
You know Orolan a light came on about you this morning...I use to wrap you up in this protective sheet and differentiate your status as somehow different and even above certain SO's on this board. I had hoped thru all of our dialogue that the Anti's and the SO's could eventually meet on common ground and maybe thu whatever efforts we all indulged in, would hopefully end up making a difference for the benefit of all....I see that hope was misplaced and much too lofty of an expectant I was left with this morning was the conclusion that my perception of you is way off base. Your more dangerous than I ever contemplated. You seem to rate your crime as no crime at all, just a "misunderstood place in time with another human being that in your head you had nothing but helpful intentions towards"....The fact you didnt beat her, rape her and throw her in a ditch somehow makes you different than a Couey or Duncan or a Smith...I propose your a little more dangerous in your mindset...what makes you this, is in no way have you ever really taken responsibility for your actions because the law didnt label you as a Bundy or a Smith, so you are able to sit on this computer day after day, walk around with an appreciable amount of freedom and lash out at anyone who doesnt agree with your definitions of sex crimes...you talk a big game and draw a big line of the difference between patting on the butt, and slitting a 7 year old's throat, but its not because you really care, its because you need to differentiate yourself from anything lower on the totem pole...You know when its all said and done...HPeirce at least admitted to the world he was a freak and as bad as he is, you are scarier because you umbrella your crime everyday as a guise to just trying to be a good guy...when in reality you took another human being who looked to you for guidance and safety and slaughtered the line that stood between a caring adult and a vulnerable weaker young girl. And you wanna know whats worse? You took an opportunity to do a good thing and gain support from many different people on many different sides of the fence and spit on it...have a nice week-end...

i just responded over there and after the validity of junes victim status was questioned i will never respond there again.why should june or i be questioned and have to answer to them ?i felt sick for june ,no victim needs to feel less of a victim b/c they are married to a rso.i was a victim and so was june long before my hubby came on the scene .you see orolon there are people out there who cling to victim status as though it is there lifeline .i am not one of them ,i thought that i could help people now but b/c of the hubby they consistently turn the topic over to that .it no longer hurts to deal with people like this it just angers me .this whole rso/victim situation is not as cut and dry as people like to think.how can they condemn me when i was a witness for the state ,a JUDGE granted unsupervised contact w/our two kids to my hubby the" child molester", the state attorney requested and went 30yrs below guidelines due to his honesty and his victim requesting this but then they all must be nuts too right. i have always been the type of person who had empathy and sympathy for others i guess i am rare. when we all stay away from the victim forum do you think the victims will come running hell no b/c tthere are so many side to a situation and the people over there dont see but one side and that is their own .

It would be very helpful to all if they posted more here. What they have to say is very valuable and is in fact necessary to a full understanding of the problem, which is the only way to find a solution. If any of them disagree with me, I would respect and appreciate their opinion in comparison to Valerie's, who seems to be on a power trip and is therefore not part of the solution.

Orolan, you bring up a good point. Many SO's are also victims, but are banned from the victim's corner. There has been some rumbling about me posting in the victim's corner because I am married to a RSO (as are some other posters over there).
I think it should be more narrowly defined what constitutes a victim over in the victim's forum. It doesn't appear that anyone who was ever sexually abused automatically qualifies as a victim.
It's easy to throw out the SO's and wives of SO's, but what is a "SO Supporter"? Is this anybody who is against the registry laws, etc.? What if someone is a victim, not married to a RSO, but is against these laws as well? Would this person be considered a "victim"?

Obviously my opinion stands after a few days...how does it feel Orolan...that many people are not stepping up to the plate to defend you??/ oh let me guess...it will be sex offenders and the women who are married to them right???
