D.C. Man Found Guilty of Raping Another Convicted Sex Offender
By Henri E. Cauvin
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, March 3, 2006; Page B09
Paroled sex offender Lafayette Bailey seemed on the right track. After 21 years in prison, he had a job as a paralegal, and he appeared to be dealing with his anger.
But everything began unraveling last winter, and Bailey soon was behind bars again -- charged with sexually assaulting another recently released sex offender, whom he met in the anger management class that they were required to attend.
snip
Bailey, prosecutors charged, tricked his 22-year-old classmate into going to Bailey's home by falsely claiming that he was a court investigator and was in a position to have the younger man sent back to prison if he did not comply with Bailey's directives.
Very bizarre case that says much about the power LE has over those with priors or on probation. Very scary.

I'm in agrement about the case being both bizarre and scary, but LE power in this case? LE had nothing to do with this. Would you do anything someone asked just because they told you they could send you back to prison if you refused? i hope not, for your sake lol.

So how much are registered and posted "SEXUAL OFFENDERS!!!"(this term is differently defined in different states, what someone is posted and pilloried for in one state, the address where they live with their Children so published,is legal across the raod in another state),themselves liable to sexual attack.
Of course those sent to prison are liable to be raped(and stabed, cut ,burned, scalded, beaten and possibly killed,a short sentence for a sexaul offence can become an effective daeth sentence, for this reason many innocent are bullied into plea bargains when they might have won their cases) ,as are non sexual prisoners, but sex offenders are especially vulnerable.
But what about those posted and pilloried on the registries?
particularly the Women and the Children.
Won't many feel a posted Woman is easy game to be stalked, molested and raped, both by individuals and gang's,won't the attitude be "She's in no position to complain, come on!!!".
If such a Woman does complain of rape, who will believe her?a lawyer will find it easy to knock down her testimony in court.
Does DP1,who supervises Women offenders know anything about this?Do any of the Women offenders who have posted here know anything?
But what about Children,as previous posts and news items on sexcriminals have shown,a growing number of Children are being posted and pilloried on the registries, the address where they live with other Children so published.
This effectivly constitutes a from of officially produced Child pornography shamefully broadcast to the World.
This is the exact anatomy of the witchunt, the old witchunts began with Children "witched",then went on to burn Childre as witches, precisely the same thing happens now.
Perverts sadists and paedophiles, all over the World will be gloating, slavering and masturbating over these poor Children's photo's while the publication of the address will enable them to plan a visit, any local molester will also see this as their opportunity.
All this seems a neglected aspect of the pillorying of "SEX OFFENDERs!!!".
Does anyone know anything?

Good point. I'd more likely risk an assault on an LE with intent to commit murder, lol. But I'm not on probation or parole and am not facing years in prison for any violation.
This guy picked this kid for a reason. Maybe he was already getting raped in prison and didn't want to go back. Or maybe he was terrified of prison. Whatever it was, the guy knew he was vulnerable.
My point was that the victim was that scared of who he thought was LE. That means that in some cases, LE could have that kind of power over someone. Laws recognize that power with the "under color of authority" statutes.
