A state trooper assigned to the Highspire barracks was recently suspended without pay after being accused of mailing sexually graphic material to a woman who had ended their romantic relationship, state police reported.

Cpl. Laurence N. Fisher, 42, of Genesee, Potter County, is charged with two counts of harassment and one count of sending obscene material. Fisher, who joined the state police in 1990, is scheduled to appear before District Judge Richard Claypool of Pocono Pines, Monroe County.

The state police Internal Affairs Division investigated the incident that allegedly occurred in 2003, police said.

RED BLUFF - The county agreed to pay $5,500 to a former Tehama County Jail inmate who accused a jail sergeant of fondling her.

The board of supervisors approved a claim Tuesday for the woman who alleged that former Tehama County Jail Sergeant Darrell Leroy Stroud had touched her breast at least four times and that there had been more than a dozen incidents of inappropriate behavior in which he watched her shower in the jail.

The Daily News does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault.

Two city police officers assigned to a Queens precinct were arrested Wednesday night on charges they took payoffs to allow an Asian brothel in the borough to flourish and to protect the owners from competition, officials said Thursday.

Officers Dennis Kim, 29, and Jerry Svoronos, 30, worked in a unit of the 109th Precinct on Main Street in Flushing that enforces quality-of-life ordinances such as those covering prostitution.

XENIA, Ohio -- A volunteer firefighter from Milfrod, Ohio, will not spend time behind bars for allegedly trying to meet a teenage girl for sex.

On Wednesday, Rodney Sears, 31, was sentenced to five years probation and labeled a sexually-oriented offender. In October, Sears traveled to Xenia to meet who he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- The son of a former Orange County assistant sheriff and two friends were each sentenced Friday to six years in prison for the videotaped sexual assault of an unconscious teenage girl.

The sentences came after the victim told the judge she had been violated "in every way possible" and urged the maximum penalty so her attackers could feel the same pain she did.

Now 20, she choked back tears as she described viewing the taped assault so she could testify against the men effectively.

CHULA VISTA – A former San Diego police officer admitted in Superior Court yesterday that he tried to rape a relative with whom he was staying in July 2005.

Michael Angel Osuna, 30, pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit rape. Under the terms of a plea agreement approved by Judge H. Ronald Domnitz, Osuna will be sentenced April 24 to a year in jail and five months of probation. The judge allowed him to remain free on bail pending sentencing.

In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutor Enrique Camarena said, several other charges were dismissed, including forcible rape, attempted forced oral copulation, false imprisonment by violence and child abuse.

ARAB - A Huntsville lawyer says no one knows seems to know what happened to videotapes that would contradict claims his client solicited sex from four women at traffic stops in Arab.

"There's no question there were about 18 tapes," Randy Gladden, attorney for suspended Arab police officer Shane Alldredge, said Wednesday. "We believe there were clips on the videotapes that certainly would have refuted all, if not some, of the claims made."

A Marshall County grand jury indicted Alldredge in June on charges he solicited sexual favors from four women in exchange for offers to dismiss or not issue traffic tickets, and for favorable treatment in a misdemeanor case.

The missing videotapes were supposedly made at the traffic stops from a camera mounted in Alldredge's patrol car, an increasingly common practice.

A Norfolk police officer, under investigation for allegedly soliciting a prostitute for sex while he was on duty, has quit.

The 10-year veteran had been on desk duty since the accusations were made.

He worked in the Second Precinct, which covers Ocean View, and was accused of paying for sex with at least one prostitute while he was on duty, in his marked car, while in uniform.

A former Indiana Borough police officer has been accused of soliciting a sexual favor from an Indiana University of Pennsylvania coed in exchange for not citing her for underage drinking.

Jason Emigh, 29, of Route 580, Clymer, was charged Thursday with official oppression and false imprisonment following an 11-month investigation by the Indiana County district attorney’s office.

Prosecutors said Emigh picked up the student near campus at about 1 a.m. April 7 and offered to take her to the Lawrence Hall dormitory. Instead, Emigh drove her in a marked police cruiser to a darkened section of the Kovalchick Corp. salvage yard along Wayne Avenue in White Township, adjacent to the IUP campus.

A jury of seven women and five men has been empanelled in the trial of a senior police officer and two former officers on rape charges at the High Court in Auckland.

Assistant Police Commissioner Clint Rickards and two former policemen are accused of raping and indecently assaulting Louise Nicholas twenty years ago.

As former Oswego Mayor John Gosek admitted his guilt Monday morning, the judge walked him through a series of questions.

With each question, Gosek answered "yes" immediately. Finally, U.S. District Judge Thomas McAvoy asked: "And you're pleading guilty because you are guilty?"

For the first time, Gosek didn't answer right away. The pause was noticeable as he appeared to look to his lawyers. After a few seconds, he answered, "Yes, your honor."

With that, Gosek pleaded guilty to a felony charge of using a cell phone to induce what he thought were two 15-year-old girls to have sex with him at the Clarion Inn in Salina on Sept. 16.

A POLICE officer who had sex with his mistress on the backseat of his patrol car escaped a jail sentence yesterday.

PC Raymond Waring, 32, who served with Cheshire Constabulary, had sex with the woman while on duty in August, 2002.

He was found guilty of misconduct in public office following a trial at Chester crown court, and was yesterday sentenced to 200 hours' community punishment and ordered to pay £500 costs.

APACHE JUNCTION - After an anonymous tip to an Apache Junction Fire District Governing Board member, a deputy fire chief has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation of claims he used department computers to visit an adult Web site.

The department placed Paul Perkins, 53, on leave Feb. 23. It has also been reported he may have placed an adult-themed ad online.

"Basically what happened was an unknown person came forward to one of our elected officials (on the board) and made them aware of the situation," said Dave Montgomery, fire district spokesman. "The elected official then came to the fire chief and made him aware . . . at that point Chief Perkins was placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of an investigation."

GARDNER, Mass. -- An Assumption College campus police officer has been charged with the indecent assault of a female employee last June while he was campus police chief at Mount Wachusett Community College, according to court records.

The court documents allege that Robert Mackie, 40, of Winchendon, grabbed the woman and pressed up against her in the college's gymnasium on June 11, 2005, while they were working the night shift. The victim freed herself and left, but she told state police that the encounter was "unwanted," according to a police report.

Two local police officers faced a judge Wednesday in connection with abusing their power, NewsChannel5 reported.

Chad Daubenmire, 32, was charged with two counts of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated robbery.

Prosecutors said the Euclid police officer last summer invited two adult entertainers to his home.

When they refused to perform sex acts he requested, he flashed his badge, pulled his gun and demanded they give his money back.

CANTON, Ohio -- A jury should get the case of a Canton police officer who is charged with sexual battery and bribery, according to NewsChannel5.

Five women said Officer Gary Edmunds forced them to perform sexual acts to avoid official action.

OAK HILL -- The suspension of an Oak Hill police officer will go before the city's personnel board for review.

The request came from Vice Mayor Darla Lauer, who received the unanimous support of fellow city commissioners at Monday night's meeting.

She said after the meeting that, as a new commissioner, she was unclear which direction the city commission should take but believed the personnel manual calls for the board to investigate allegations then bring a recommendation to the elected body.

Possessing child pornography is the latest charge facing a Collier County sheriff’s deputy, capping off what has already been a tumultuous month for the Sheriff’s Office.

Charles “Jay” Jonas Green, 54, served as a deputy sheriff in Collier County for 27 years. He was fired Tuesday after being charged with 69 counts of possessing child pornography, authorities said.

“Jay Green besmirched us all, and our reputations,” Sheriff Don Hunter said Tuesday. “I cannot express the amount of disappointment and sadness we feel about our reputation and what has happened.”

A longtime Boulder County sheriff's deputy bonded out of jail Tuesday after his arrest on charges that he groped two women while on duty.

Sgt. Gregory Schumann faces two counts of unlawful sexual contact, both misdemeanors that carry a maximum penalty of 18 months in jail.

Sheriff Joe Pelle said Schumann embarrassed his department and resigned before he could be fired.

LONG BEACH — A month after being reprimanded for allegedly groping an underage girl at a YMCA camp, a Long Beach police officer is now under criminal investigation to determine whether he sexually assaulted a woman while on duty March 3, officials confirmed Tuesday.

Officer Allan J. Jones, a 13-year veteran of the Long Beach Police Department, was reassigned from patrol to desk duty last week and then suspended without pay, said sources close to the investigation.

"We received an allegation of sexual assault by an on-duty police officer," LBPD spokeswoman Karen Owens said. "We immediately launched both a criminal and an administrative investigation to determine exactly what transpired. We also immediately contacted the Los Angeles district attorney's office to assist us."

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - A 15-year veteran of the Niagara Regional Police Service who was charged last July with assault has now also been charged with possessing child pornography, the Police Service reported Monday.

Jeffrey Cross, no age listed, of Renfrew, remains suspended from duty with pay. Cross has been suspended since last July after he was charged with assault causing bodily harm following an incident at a St. Catharines home.

Former Allen County sheriff’s reserve officer Matthew Govan admitted Friday in Allen Superior Court to inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl in December 2004.

Govan, 46, pleaded guilty to a newly filed charge of sexual battery under an agreement recommending he receive two years on probation. He was originally charged with three counts of child molesting, one of which was punishable by 20 to 50 years in prison.

The agreement calls for the dismissal of those counts.

OLYMPIA — As two female state prison employees recently learned, having sex with an inmate is a felony under state law, even when the employee isn't a corrections officer and the relationship is consensual.

Prosecutors filed charges this week in Thurston County Superior Court against Tera L. Hendrickson, 40, a former truck driver for Correctional Industries, a job program for inmates in the state Department of Corrections. Hendrickson, who worked with two inmates on a work crew, delivered goods manufactured by prisoners to state offices.

Charges were filed in November against Deborah E. Simons, 45, a former part-time cook at Cedar Creek Corrections Center in Littlerock, for alleged sexual encounters between her and an inmate who worked in the kitchen.

HUNTSVILLE, Tenn. - A former Scott County lawman and school bus driver has been arrested because of allegations of having "inappropriate sexual contact with three separate victims, all of whom were under the age of 13," according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Ronald Daughtery, 39, was indicted by a Scott County grand jury last week on seven counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of indecent exposure to a minor, two counts of solicitation of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of sexual battery, a TBI press release stated.

Daugherty was taken into custody Friday at his home in Robbins, Tenn., the release said.

A NORTHERN Territory police officer has been charged in Adelaide with child pornography offences.

The 39-year-old man was on leave and police charged him with communicating with a child via the internet to procure sexual activity.

(CBS 11 News) IRVING An Irving Police officer is facing two charges of indecency with a child.

The Irving Police Department’s public information officer, David Tull, tells CBS 11 that Officer Mark Talley was arrested Thursday.

Tull said Talley was arrested after a 12-year-old girl said an adult male acquaintance had touched her inappropriately.

SANTA ANA, Calif. - A former immigration officer has been arrested for allegedly threatening to deny a woman's citizenship application unless she had sex with him, officials said.

Eddie Romualdo Miranda, 60, was booked at the Santa Ana City Jail late Tuesday, police said. He was released after posting $100,000 bail.

At the time of the Jan. 20 incident, Miranda was working as a district adjudications officer in Santa Ana, responsible for interviewing immigrants to determine if they were eligible for citizenship, said Sharon Rummery, a spokeswoman for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

FAIRFIELD — A Butler County deputy accused of inappropriate sexual behavior has been suspended pending the outcome of a criminal investigation by local police, sheriff's officials said Monday.

Deputy Kirk Kash, 37, was placed on paid administrative leave Friday, said a spokesman with the county sheriff's office. He was suspended after allegations rose early Friday from Fairfield police about his behavior while in uniform working an off-duty detail at a Fairfield business, said Detective Monte Mayer, a sheriff's spokesman.

SAN ANTONIO -- A 37-year-old San Antonio Park police officer was being held Friday in the Bexar County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond after he was accused of sexually assaulting a child.

According to an arrest affidavit, the alleged victim, a 16-year-old female relative, told police that Ricardo Rodriguez sexually abused her over a two-year period.

LAKE CHARLES, La. A Fort Polk police officer arrested in December on underage sex and child pornography charges awaits trial after being indicted on child pornography charges

Authorities say 50-year-old Ernest J- Felice turned himself in to Immigration and Customs authorities in Lake Charles after having been indicted on March 14th on more than 100 charges of possession of child pornography.

Accused of sex crimes against a teenager, a former Valley Center police officer pled not guilty Wednesday morning to seven felony charges.

Anthony Peluso, 28, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will return to the Sedgwick County Courthouse for a 9 a.m. May 22 trial. In the Sedgwick County Jail on $100,000 bond since his Feb. 14 arrest in Valley Center, Peluso appeared in court in handcuffs and wearing a red jail jumpsuit. He softly answered Judge Greg Waller’s questions.

Peluso faces three counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, three counts of criminal sodomy and one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The victim was born in 1990.

A Dallas police officer e-mailed a photo of his genitals to a 14-year-old girl, according to court documents obtained Thursday by The Dallas Morning News.

Officer Patrick Taylor was arrested Wednesday on a charge of criminal solicitation of a minor. He has been released from the Arlington jail on $7,500 bail.

Authorities do not have evidence that Officer Patrick Taylor and the girl had met before the morning he was arrested when he was accused of attempting a rendezvous. It appears their communication had been through e-mail and text messaging to her cellphone, police said.

Officer Taylor could not be reached for comment.

A Rensselaer County Corrections officer is finding himself on the other side of the law.

David Rohrmiller pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree rape in Rensselaer County Court on Thursday.

WATERLOO --- The former Waterloo police officer charged with having sex with a jail inmate took the stand in his own defense Wednesday.

Richard T. Knief, 48, admitted he had sex with the female inmate he knew for a number of months after checking her out of the Black Hawk County Jail for an hour as part of a drug investigation in September.

Knief, who is charged with sexual misconduct with an offender, said he stepped down from his 27 years in law enforcement in January because it was in the best interest of the police department.

"It cost me a lot," he said. "It was a mistake. It was wrong, and I feel bad about it."

WATERLOO --- Richard Knief stood emotionless looking downward as a six-man, six-woman jury acquitted him of criminal wrongdoing in a Sept. 28 sexual liaison with a jail inmate.

After two days of trial, jurors began deliberating the fate of Knief, a former Waterloo police sergeant, about noon Thursday.

By 3 p.m. the panel announced its decision that found him innocent of sexual misconduct with an offender.

The language of the law prohibits employees, vendors, contractors and agents of the county from engaging in sex with prisoners.

Correll said Knief was an employee of the city and was in no way an agent of the county. While the act was wrong, it wasn't a crime, he said.
