I actually have found that many people who call themselves "feminists" have a hard time remaining consistent even WITHIN an opinion piece, let alone from one piece to another. I see it as a symptom of being an ideologue. It is especially obvious in ideologues like Rush Limbaugh, Al Franken, Ann Coulter, etc., but reaches far into academia as well.

I have found that thinking for oneself tends to make a person unpopular, and, as such, people who make their living sharing their ideas had best stick to the intellectual status quo lest they find themselves with little to keep them warm at night but their principles and integrity.

It's always been funny to me that peer pressure, something that starts in high school and that I assumed would fade away, can actually, if left to, change the thoughts of a generation .

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
