I will concede that not all sex cases should end up on the registries. This is a great example.....no need to waste valuable computer space with his picture as long as space is available on death row.

I cannot express enough my disgust for these people and what they do. How can a person look at a beautiful little creature such as a child and want to do wicked, horrible things to it? I will never understand that in this lifetime and I don't think I should have to!! YUK!

dp1-
As short as that story was, it made me sick. I have seen worse, I have been through worse. I don't know what it was that sparked that eerie feeling but I hope he never makes it out alive.

With his HAND???? OMG!!!!!
You know this is nothing but some sadomasochistic psycho. Lock him up and throw away the key.
I can deal with some sex offenders getting released. People who torture 2 year olds aren't among them.

I agree, Looks like Baynews9 is doing a good job of posting photos.
Maybe the media sites should maintain the arrest site photos and registry info for all those arrested with sex crimes, that will in turn save tax payers $$. Then PO's won't have to waste valuable time taking the photos and the staff that has to crop, cut, and eliminate red eye, since some out there are worried about doing things that cost tax payers money.

The scariest thing about reading articles like this is that where they are taking place is just a small blip on the map and there are billions of blips on the map! Imagine the number that never make the papers. This one hit home the hardest because of my 2 year old daughter. The "call of the list" for her offender is coming up on the 24th of this month in my county and it is consuming my every thought of every day. The emotions are so raw I feel like a severed nerve swinging in the cold air. I find it very difficult just to take her out in public for fear she may let go of my hand or I might lose sight of her if she lets go. I look at everyone with suspicion especially those who say, "oh, she's such a cutie" or "it's so refreshing to see a little girl in a dress, you just don't see that anymore", hell, anyone who notices her arouses my suspicion. This incident has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. I never thought I would be placed in this position again in my life and here I am. I also never thought I would have to have conversations with specialists to decide whether or not to have an exam (rape kit) done on her little person to see if there was any damage done, etc. This is just much to much to handle and sometimes I feel like I am going out of my mind. I apologize for rambling but I find it difficult to sleep at night because I always feel like I haven't made the perimeter of my home safe enough. I always wonder if I will feel normal again some day and be able to trust anyone ever again. Anyone out there have any idea just how much stress and anxiety one person can take in their lifetime before they go absolutely mad?

Would it really save any taxpayer money if you didn't take the photos and used your valuable time on other matters that you would still expect to get financially compensated for by way of a salary? Same question applies to the staff that crops, cuts, and eliminates redeye.

MYoung asked, "Anyone out there have any idea just how much stress and anxiety one person can take in their lifetime before they go absolutely mad?
Yeah, lots MYoung. You're doing a great job handling this stressfull situation. I hope all goes ok with this case. I'm thinking since you're doing such a great job dealing with this and your child was so young then chances are as she grows up she won't even remember it. Of course, you will never forget. Let's hope you and your daughter benefit by bonding better and living a life of fullfilment while being safe and selecting those you can trust. Thanks for sharing.
I've never heard the term, "The Call of the List". What does that mean exactly?

The call of the list is when the DA takes his list of juvenile criminal cases in front of the judge so they may set up the docket schedule......that is my understanding from a district magistrate in Easton PA with whom I am acquainted. She is trying to fill me in on the process because they tend to leave us in the dark about everything thus far. All I have received is a victim impact report to fill out. I wasn't notified about this "call of the list" but they still have a few days this week to get something in the mail to us which I assume they will. During this part of the process, the offender goes in front of the judge and places his plea of guilty and a date will be set for his hearing or whatever comes next. Supposedly, this is when the formal investigation begins. We had already made our statements to the local (township) detective but now it will be investigated by Cand Y as well as the detective from the DA's office. It is sad because if he is being abused by someone (which is my suspicion.....there are many indicators) it won't be discovered for some time if ever. He behaved in a way that indicates he was taught by an adult how to do this. He isolated her, made a game out of it and later we found out that he justified it to her by telling her she was bad and that was why he had to do it. I agree that she is so young that she will probably not remember the incident.....thank God. Until then, the memory is quite vivid and she brings it up fairly often which is hard for me to hear over and over. I just signed her up for Tumblebees so she can get some interaction with other kids her age and so I can start trusting a little bit. They offered to place her in their pre-K class next year and I got all weird about it. I am trying but it will be hard for me to allow her to be in the care of others.

I don't blame you for the way you feel. You have a understandable fear. With the way things are in this day and age it happens too often. Don't feel guilty for this. To many times the victum feels that way. And you are a victum as much as your daughter. And too often we forget that the whole family is the victum. They all suffer.

My heart goes out to you, and have faith that you WILL get through this. My daughter was abused by her father between the ages of 4-8. After she had told me, we both suffered some of the worst months of our lives....but as time moves on it does get a little easier.
Like you, my perception of the world has changed, and I'm a lot more wary of people these days. I feel as though I now have an inner sense of spotting men who may have paedophile tendencies. I conciously avoid leaving my kids anywhere near them.
We can take comfort in knowing that by being extra alert because of our experiences, will at the very least minimise the chances of our children ever being hurt again..
